Mi Light Detection Sensor measures ambient light intensity across a 0–83,000 Lux range, using the Zigbee 3.0 protocol to connect reliably with your Mi Home Hub or compatible gateway.
Once linked to other smart devices through the Xiaomi Home app, it can automate scenes based on light levels — closing smart curtains when it gets bright, or turning on a smart bulb once natural light fades. Indoors, it maintains a reliable connection up to around 10 meters, extending to as much as 65 meters in open, obstacle-free conditions, and its compact form factor makes it easy to place discreetly around the home.
